Ministers to sit at party office daily

Ministers to sit at party office daily - In a bid to bridge gap between party and Government, the State Government under Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has decided to depute its ministers to addresses grievances at the Bharatiya Janata Party office.

In this regard every day party workers, who had to struggle hard to get access into Minister office - in the Vidhan Sabha or Chief Minister office at the Secretariat, Government as declared the names of the ministers for six days of the week. They would sit in the party office for four hours i.e. 10 am to 2 pm on daily basis. The party high command has tried to balance between the hard core BJP ministers and newly joined BJP leaders.

For this two BJP old guards - Prakash Pant and Dhan Singh Rawat and four Congress turned BJP leaders - Satpal Maharaj, Subodh Uniyal, Yashpal Arya and Harak Singh Rawat have been assigned to sit in the party office. Sources said that with this order party high command wants to get its workers acclimatised with these leaders.

Now onward everyday excluding Sunday a minister would sit in the party office. On Monday state agriculture minister Subodh Uniyal will be in the party office, forest minister Harak Singh Rawat on Tuesday, Finance Minister Prakash Pant on Wednesday, Transport Minister Yashpal Arya on Thursday, Tourism Minsiter Satpal Maharaj on Friday and Minister of State Dr Dhan Singh Rawat on Saturday.

As is known, Chief Minister Rawat himself has started meeting party workers at party office on third Monday of every month. Meanwhile he has already appointed OSD Urbadutt Bhatt to sit in the party office and address party workers grievance.

It will be recalled that when CM Rawat was being felicitated at party office after becoming chief minister of Uttarakhand, then he had announced that whenever he sees that his party workers are being pushed by their security personnel then he feels awkward so he would make sure to meet party workers at party so that htey would have to face inconvenience while meeting him. Later he had announced that minister will have to sit in their office twice a week i.e. Wednesday and Thursday. Although they are free to sit on other day but they will have to sit on these two days and visitors will not have to make entry pass to get access to the minister office. Now minister will sit into party office so it seems CM is trying to bridge existing gap between Government and party workers.
